Mobile Site Design Contest

Mobile Site Design Contest

While our current version of the MoMo Tokyo mobile website is not bad, hit that QR code on our right nav. bar or surf by www.mobilemonday.jp in your cellphone browser, we know that plenty of talented folks out there could make it so much better. Therefore we have decided to run a Mobile Site Design Contest, open to all local players, in an effort to improve the product offering and raise awareness for the everyone who steps forward. Ultimately the winner, as voted by our community members, will get the claim to fame and gain even wider exposure – wOOt! – through the entire network.

We’d like to roll-out the new version asap but are not able to offer a cash reward, however if a suitable sponsor would sweeten the pot – hint hint – then of course we’d all be thrilled to entertain that angle as well!

At any rate, in order to keep it simple, here are the house rules:

The use of Flash is fine, however since we do get plenty of visitors from overseas, it must also be able to detect and render for most domestic and international handsets. Considering the existing database and regular updates, the new site will need to pull in all our our archieve data and provide an easy path for us to post future content. Finally, as we expect a growing percentage of people to register for events using their keitai, the sign-up form will need to integrate with our 3rd party partner, details to be provided seperately. Otherwise, the look, feel and functionality are wide open to your skills and imagination.

If you’re up for the challenge (Gut-Check), we need a simple proposal deck, preferred in .pdf format, containing a design outline with details including screenshots or ideally hot-links to a demo test site. The deadline for entries is November 6th, please make first Contact Here to get the ball rolling.. 😎

Update: Call for submissions is now closed.. see the proposals below.

Ong Tze Wei – Programmer – Polygon Pictures
I am thinking of keeping the mobile site close to the PC version while adopting a clean and simple design that makes navigation clear. I apologize for not developing a prototype but hopefully, the details provided within the proposal will suffice. Review PDF Here

Stephen Chasey – General Manager – Ubit EU
Based on our experience with MoMo in Amsterdam, please review this proposal storyboard that briefly outlines the Event Center service proposal by Ubit. If you have any questions, do let us know. Review PDF Here
